GIGABYTE – NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 3070 VISION OC 8GB thermal pad sizes

According to most of our users and commenters, 0.5mm works well on the VRAMs, but some were claimed they used 1mm successfully.

One pack of 80x40mm is enough to cover the front side and probably that will bring you satisfying results in your temperature drop.

Front side:80x40x0.5mm

Sizes guide

  • The scrissor sign next to a size means it can be cut out from that slice of thermal pad. It is not the actual size! Example: 80x40x2mm
  • One dimension size means it’s the thickness of that pad. Example: 1mm
  • Two or three dimension sizes – with no scrissor sign – means it’s most probably an actual size. Example 100x14x1.5mm

About sizes

Sizes you find here come from various sources. Most of them reported by my clients whom successfully replaced their GPUs’ factory thermal pads with high quality aftermarket pads – getting significant results in their temperature drop. Some of these sizes are actual measurements and others just collected from random users on such websites like Reddit, YouTube or official / unofficial forums.

Do your own research

Please note that I cannot take any responsibility for the sizes appearing here. Do your own research as well before buying and replacing anything.

Tips

  • Make sure your pads and GPU die contacts well with the heatsink.
  • Always test your graphic cards and devices in controlled environment.

Do you happen to know the thermalpad thickness needed for the 3070ti version?

  3. Angelo

So both columns of square things on the left, the short and the slightly taller one, are also 1mm?

Sorry you’rs information wrong !!! Defenetly in this model 3070 vision on mem chips must be 0.5mm 12w/k, on another power supply components must been 1mm 8w/k or 12w/k. Check and tested by my self.

Just got a word from gigabyte. The official sizes are:
      40mm x 14.2mm x 0.75mm (2pcs)

      27mm x 14.2mm x 0.75mm

      27mm x 8.1mm x 1mm

      60mm x 5mm x 1.25mm

      60mm x 9mm x 1.25mm

Don’t know if this helps someone, but hey, here they are.

Alex Sh is right! 1mm for memories is too much and the temperature exceeds 80 degrees. With 0.5 the temperature drops by almost 20 degrees.

I used Gleid Ultimate 0,5mm for memories and 1,0 mm for the rest ( for two small pieces between core and power supply also) and the temperatures droped from 100 degrees to 77 degress.
