Is there a problem if I put 2 pieces 1mm above each other where the thickness should be 2mm?

Stacking two 1mm thermal pads to achieve a 2mm thickness isn’t necessarily ideal, but it can work in some cases. The primary concern is ensuring that there are no air gaps or bubbles between the two layers, as these can significantly reduce thermal conductivity. Air acts as an insulator, and even small gaps can compromise heat transfer.

To minimize this risk, you should press the layers together firmly and evenly, possibly using thermal paste between the layers to ensure better contact. I’d also recommend testing the setup in a controlled environment to monitor performance and check for any thermal issues.

That being said, it’s always best to use a single pad with the correct thickness when possible for more reliable and efficient heat transfer.

I thought of applying for such a method due to financial resources. Thank you for your suggestions.
